Following the sad news that Peter has passed away, he has been on my mind all weekend and I just wanted to share some of my thoughts about Peter.

My thoughts are also with Peters family at this sad time. He was a great man. I will always be in dept to Peter for so many great Friday nights racing at Dorset Model Car Racing Club. For the majority of my time as a member of DMCRC Peter single handedly managed the club with a consistent excellent level of performance. He was always professional in his approach to race control duties and never really let his own emotions show (bad day at the office etc), even when he had to manage us racers having a bad day! It is only since I joined the committee that I realised how much of his time he must have devoted to the club during the week too. I will always be grateful for his time and effort that he gave to DMCRC. I'm sure he will be greatly missed by all at DMCRC as we would not be here if it wasn't for him, and I know the club will never be the same again (as his absence over the recent times has shown) but lets not let him down, and lets keep this club going with everybody having fun for many years to come doing the hobby they love and racing in Dorset.
I will miss you Pete.

RIP Pete, My thoughts go out to your family and friends. It was an honour to know you, race with you and also work with you. You were a brilliant person who put so much time and dedication into the club, which wouldn't be here today if it weren't for you. I have so many fond memories of you, most of them from when we went away racing in the Eurocup days and from the close racing down the club.
I can speak for everyone in saying, you will be very much missed, but never forgotten.
Rest in Peace
Liam

Well said Alan - DMCRC is Pete's legacy to us as racers and we owe it to him to keep it going for many years to come.

The club wreath at Peter's funeral. He was given a very nice send off and the turn out was a surprise to the family - they expected 50 and had about 100 turn up. Thanks to all club members past and present who attended. Nice to see some old faces. Attachments:
