Race and Driving Manners
Please note RC car racing is not a full contact sport! The following driver / meeting manners will help everyone have an enjoyable evening.
Please always drive with due care and consideration for your fellow competitors.
Qualifying Rounds
During qualifying you are only racing against the clock so be courteous and let faster car through.
When you are being lapped by a faster car
Move over at the earliest opportunity, make sure after you let the faster car through you do not collide with them immediately after they overtake, give them space.
When lappIng a slower car
Give the car in front time to move over, do not punt the car out of the way. It’s all too easy to blame the slower car but please give them time.
The Final
When racing for position, defending the position is obviously allowed, so the following car must be careful not to knock the leading car out of the way.
Collisions will happen, but it you take a competitor out unfairly wait, let tiem regain track position and then continue racing, do not just take advantage of the collision.
Important
Marshalling
Marshalling is not optional. If you race you will marshal. It is not fair to other drivers if they are kept waiting or there is no one to marshal their car when needed. If you don’t want to marshal then don’t race. Substitute marshals are allowed. If marshal positions are numbered, go to the position corresponding to your car number.
Pay attention to the racing and the area you are covering and marshal promptly. Marshall as you expect to be marshalled! No mobile phones conversations when marshalling.
Above all else, only cross the track to marshal a car when. it is safe to do so. Your safety is paramount. Being hit by a car will hurt and could cause injuries.
And please remember to HAVE FUN!

Important
- Whenever possible do not use reverse if your speed controller is fitted with one. This usually results is a collision with the following cars. Wait for the marshal to rescue your car - it‘s usually quicker.
- No shouting at the marshals please. It’s not their fault YOU crashed.
