Talk to the seller explain what we want it for and get them to send a sample to try, even if we end up buying one roll initially outside of ebay its got to be better than £54 on something that might not be any good.
What do Bransgore use Stuart? I think you said it was from inexcess is that not worth a try?

at Caldicot we use tape from www.tickitape.co.ukworks out roughly £2.24 + VAT per roll, more than happy to send you a roll if you wanted to try it

The general use stuff looks like the one we have already, the pro matt stuff looks better but is 5.38 plus vat in bulk. Maybe it would be worth a look at the tickitape stuff, would be good if we could get a roll to try out.

Can I just point out that we have been using the black gaffa tape from Wurth now for about three years and only once had a problem with the tape. This was when Wurth ran out of stock to supply our order and bought in from somewhere else to be able to deliver the tape, instead of waiting for their own tape to be available. When we had this problem I boxed it back up and the rep came to collect it and replaced it before our next meeting – problem sorted! With regards to the issue we have at the moment; I delivered the recent batch of tape to the club two weeks ago. Last week I was not at the club, and this Friday was the first I knew of the problem. Today I have already spoken to my contact and he is looking into the problem/investigating it and will credit or replace the last batch of tape we had – problem sorted (hopefully) With regards to the price I feel that I have got a good deal for the club and with a consistent product (usually). If anybody does find a sample tape that is available, of better quality, and cheaper, then great! …just let me know so I don’t order anymore and we end up with too much

I've ordered two of the blue tape at £8.99 for us to have a look at. Was a little annoying doing a 360 on the straight due to the tape but its a problem all clubs are experiencing the fact that even in the same batch the tape can vary massively!

Maybe it would be worth a look at the tickitape stuff, would be good if we could get a roll to try out. I thought I was going to be down in Poole this weekend but forgot we had a meeting on! If you want to try a roll of the tickitape stuff am happy to post it to someone if they pm me an address.

They don't use additive at Bransgore do they? Could this be part of our problem?

I have today received the 50No replacement rolls of tape but unfortunately it looks the same individually wrapped stuff that we had last time. We can give it a try but the rep is happy for us to return them ALL for credit if we have the same problem. He was not made aware of any changes to the tape but he is investigating the issue still with the Product Development Team and will endeavour to send us the usual tape in future. I will keep you informed. Sorry for the inconvenience this has caused, it was a bit embarrassing last week that the tape caused so many problems but hopefully we can get back to normal soon.
************************************ Just a thought, but would it help a little bit if we used the 'tape applicator long roller thing' when we are setting up the track? I know this is not the problem but as we don’t seem to be using it at the moment it could not be helping the situation. I noticed the tape wheel was missing from it last week. Does anybody know if it is broken or missing?
I think it would be good if we had two for the club anyway. Does anybody know where we could get one from or is anybody able to make one for us?

I think the roller part is missing, as for where to get one it might be a 'tim, can you make us one!'.
The new wurst tape was no different, the TP stuff was good but thats probably not gonna be a regular supply or too costly. It was mentioned that maybe we should try getting tape direct from a manufacturer and see what that is like, I should have the sample tape I ordered ready for next week as it hadn't turned up by tonight which i'd hoped.

Wasn't one of the problems with the tape roller the fact that we could never get the tape straight? It also seemed to make the carpet bumpy, but maybe that was me imagining things?

Why make one when you can buy a tape gun from staples, their not much

The plastic ones you get from staples etc would probaby break fairly quickly unlike our current one which is a little more sturdy (when working). Good idea tho
