Not me, don't think the class will last long enough to warrant buying one IMO.

Given that the Club has kindly allowed for the Supastox to run in the Mini Mod Class, I think it will last as long as Mini Mod is supported.
And I think that the Clubs move is a positive one. Why?
The car is a real pleasure to drive Fairly straight forward to setup Probably the most bullet-proof, next to M chassis Easy maintenance Low parts count Excellent build manual with setup guide Kit setup works It's sensibly priced Doesn't need heaps of hop ups Kit tyres work Excellent spares availability
And most importantly for Club 'growth' allows those that want to step up from Mini Stock to something with a little more pace (but were put off by the complexities of a 'touring car' like the TOP) to spend roughly the price of a Tamiya Mini, on a simple concept that will still be able to use their servo, esc, pt plus a g2 brushed motor and 4 cells if they don't want to go to the expense of new brushless gear and be competitive
Win win all round (but of course, I'm biased ;D)

Well thats four of us then that's a heat if bobs is ready

Well thats four of us then that's a heat if bobs is ready Not sure that attempting a separate heat is the way forward. IMO that only serves to weaken the Mini Mod ethos and may promote dwindling numbers, potentially weakening two classes to extinction. Just the opinion of a 'part-timer' though! Paul

Paul only said that as that's what they said 4 or more would get our own heat

Yes as Paul says we will continue the class as a combined one. Even if numbers of sstox increase we stil have to put the mini mods somewhere.

I plan to get one, TOP mini is a great car but my dwindling interest in maintenance means I forget things, like missing camber link lol. Supastox are back to my routes of foam tyre F1 style pan chassis and no brakes. I'll finish SPCUK series sell TOP and buy Supastox in time for championship, plus I have some setup plans

Wouldn't panic mark no where near having one as yet . Still if you wouldn't mind working on a setup for me that would be great

What are people running, 1s or 2s?
Am I right in saying that it is 1s/13.5t and 2s/21.5t?

Ok cheers, it is Bryce that is looking at getting one. Swaying towards 1s/13.5t as the batteries seem to be cheaper and also he's already got a 13.5t motor. They do look a nice piece of kit, no sure whether I'd get one though..

What servo are you running in yours Mark? As I have heard there can be issues with the servo glitching when running 1s/3.7v..

What servo are you running in yours Mark? As I have heard there can be issues with the servo glitching when running 1s/3.7v.. When I tried 1s I initially installed a Savox 1251 but quick 'lock to lock' movement triggered some glitching. Replaced it with a Futaba S9551 and all was ok. Paul

Hi,
After seeing them running at the club, I just purchased my first Non-Tamiya for 15 years! Since I'm a bit of a novice on them, what are the best compound tyres to use at the Club, and is a diff needed on them to be competitive?
Regards
Kevin

Kev use the kit tyres and you will find it much easier with a diff.

Thanks Bob. I got a diff on Order. Also.... what ratio are people using. For now I be using a Brushed saturn 27T running on 7.4v. I just need a starting point to get the car set up. Sorry for all the questions.

Hi kev with the saturn 27t if running kit 32dp you would be ok with a12t pinion if 48dp i found a 20t pinion was ok any higher tends to overheat motor unless you have a fan on your motor hope that helps
