took me 10 mins to get car down to 1350 weight limit, then a further 7 hrs to get it balanced left to right! what a nightmare ended up moving lipo's 30mm outboard of normal chasis position and then make a protection shield as i felt they were very vunerable that far outboard of the chasis. Good luck!

Cycone sorted, simply removed the long bar shaped thingy with the word LIPO on it and got rid of the silver whirry thing at the back with the funny small gear on it.
Cant wait till friday

pete that sound really drastic, i take it the edge of the lipo will hit the ground before the edge of the chassis !!! this could really hinder you with the roll of the car giving you grip roll indoors if/when the lipo digs into the carpet...plus the left hand side of the car may be able to roll more than the lipo side... i wouldnt mind betting outdoors you will struggle getting car into the corner...
i have opted to be a tad over weight indoors at mo at 1382g and outdoors i will put a light weight shell on and shed a further 25-30g to bring it down to 1350-1360g
i have moved my lipo out 3MM but it doesnt go over the edge of the chassis..ive removed all my chassis weight, the heatsink off the lrp fan has gone but i have retained the fan itself to balance the car left to right i then added 40g back to edge of lipo, didnt really want to add weight back on lipo but at same time i didnt want lipo over hanging the chassis
| The car in front will be blue !!! |

You want muchmore Aero oil available in light or dark
http://www.aerobubbles.co.uk/
You can get the helium upgrade version its a bit more but reduces the weight by a further 20%
Paul
EDIT or like my Cyclone you can just forget the oil altogether lol.

have done all the maths and the lipo will ground before chassis but only when the off side wheels are 36mm off the ground! can only think this will happen in a crash. there is other methods to balance but this would involve serious money ie. lightweight servo and speed contoller. but after all this am still 20g over weight but like you can loose that with a lightweight shell and a dusting of paint!

At 1370 (shell needs less paint) the car felt and looked quicker. Pick up was quicker, corner speed has improved, handling was Spot on, grip levels where better (Found the tyres where over heating towards the end of 5 mins). I was amazed how quick the car felt and looked and how much more speed i could carry in and out of the corners. The only negative effect i felt and noticed on some other peoples cars was in the chicane (in front of the rostrum) the car sometimes would lift when doing a quick right then left then right turn (ie two wheels off the track down one side of the car) maybe due to the speed (i had it on both sides of the car). But all in all the car felt good and was good to drive, motor was coming off luke warm (no fan or heat sink fitted) Also the car would turn/steer like it was on steroids found it easier to hug the apex and change directions. Also noticed that the back end was alot more under control, no stepping out when changing direction

Did anyone try heating tyres at a lower temp....? After the second run i didn't use additive, just heated at 50 degs. The reason why i dropped using additive was i found to much grip, lets say in the last minute of the race.

Ever since John Pape said not to I have not used tyre warmers, just additive. My guess is that at sometime in the near future when it gets really cold I will use them but certainly for the last 6 months they stay in my pit box and I have no grip issues at all .... MARSHAL!!! --- well not related to my tyres anyway
